Lies don't seem to stop even when you post documentation in BLACK and WHITE.
And opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one, so this might be a long page.
Everything below is from FYSAfacts.com version 1.0 and was related to the 15-mile rule, most of it is no longer topical.
The issues we all face and lies that the BOD at time, most still same BOD members, tells us are even more topical when you realize their plan or allowing more clubs means more kids and better competition never materialized, just as predicted.
BOLOGNA - There are 23 FYSA clubs within 15 miles of our primary fields already, plus many more mickey mouse Clubs just waiting to get in for the money! How can that be a monopoly.
Check if you are a monopoly here: https://www.fysa.com/clubs/club-directory/
NO - along with other USSF provided rules and guidelines it gives us parents and players an assurance that legitimate affiliates will "...meet a requirement that the group of Participants identifies a board or governing body that will handle administrative issues and be responsible for compliance with applicable Organization Member rules; and a requirement that the group of Participants meets standards of financial accountability and transparency as well as any insurance and risk management standards." - not for FLY BY NIGHT "clubs" that promise the world, take parents money, embezzle it, and change name next year! Do you need me to make a list?
Bullsh*t! - Weston, West Pines, Sunrise, Coral Springs, Mako, Ives Estates, Wellington (sorry I can't mention all clubs that provide great programs) all lose players to poachers and "European named clubs" every year.
And, there is a city forming in Palm Beach that has no club, no program, no coaches, no players and no fields yet but is fighting the 15-mile-rule. Don't tell me people are going to leave the existing neighboring 5 clubs because this new club has a better program!!! This is such a bullsh*t argument next time you hear it ask them to to name you one club that has not been affected!
NO - We need all players that are not afraid to play to form as many teams as possible and not spread the same number of kids among even more clubs/teams so that everyone gets to have only short teams and no one plays any games. Coronavirus seems to be good excuse to do everything these days!
YES - the #1 reason any Club, team, player, coach gets into a competitive game is because they are afraid of competition!?
Nuff said.
Sure Mr. League President, thanks for your support at the AGM two years ago when we tried dealing with the sub-clubs. Your League sent up a Bylaw amendment that would at least try and deal with sub-clubs issue by making them identify properly by uniforms. Then neither you or anyone else from the Board ever spoke in favor of your own amendment, and then you personally called the question to kill the discussion. Thanks for your help!
No one can possibly still be saying this after reading this website!
Tom's opinion, if you really want to know it:
STOP LYING and USING FAKE BYLAW VIOLATIONS TO CHANGE RULES
PROVIDE QUALITY PRODUCT, and players will come
PROVIDE PROPER REPLACEMENT RULES FOR FORMING NEW CLUBS OR ALLOWING EXISTING CLUBS to join FYSA (US Club, AYSO, SAY SOCCER, etc.) and membership will vote it in voluntarily.
